Prayer to the Holy Trinity For His Holiness, Pope John Paul II
Praise and glory to You, Most Holy Trinity,
You alone are God most high!
Blessed are you, Father, by your grace,
during this fateful time, filled with danger and also of hope,
You have gifted us with Pope John Paul II,
the Vicar of Your Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ,
a pillar of strength in a sea of turmoil,
to guide us into the Third Millennium and
lead us to a new springtime for our Christian Faith.
Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit,
grant your servant Pope John Paul II,
our beloved teacher and spiritual father,
the strength, courage and perseverance
to defend the Faith of the Fathers and the Saints
and to lead us to your Son,
the light who enlightens everyone.
We join him in joyful hope for a New Pentecost
as we build with him your kingdom on earth.
Father, grant that your faithful people,
united under the banner of Blessed Mary,
Mother of the Millennium,
may be one in solidarity with His Holiness,
to respond to his call for a new evangelization,
to support him with prayer and spiritual sacrifices,
with the Rosary and Eucharistic adoration and reparation,
joining him in propagating the Gospel of Life and Truth
against the pervasive and pernicious culture of death
and the deceptions of the father of lies.
Father, through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother,
grant us, too, the strength and the grace
to fulfill our pledge of solidarity with Pope John Paul II and
to live our consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
that they may triumph and reign in us,
now, always and forever, Amen.
